From The Auckland to Wellington train (Auckland to National Park and Wellington), the Christchurch to Picton train (Picton to Kaikoura and Christchurch) to the award winning the Christchurch to Greymouth train (Christchurch to Arthurs Pass and Greymouth), your train travel is comfortable and relaxing. You can travel between the North and South Islands with ease as your Pass includes travel on a Cook Strait ferry between Wellington in the North Island and Picton in the South Island. There is a range of suggested Scenic Rail Pass itineraries to help you to plan your New Zealand rail vacation. Each train carriage have reclining seats with head rests, are carpeted, centrally heated and air conditioned with on board washroom/toilet facilities, so you can sit back and enjoy the view from your panoramic window.
